Selfish condensate theory: information patterns act like quasi-agents seeking to replicate and persist. Religious texts, memes, ideologies, habits, addictions = condensates that 'want' to survive. They compete for attention (substrate) the way organisms compete for food. Dawkins' meme theory = partial precursor, but CCT removes dualism (PB-0003): we don't 'carry' condensates, we ARE condensates building scaffolding.
Not This
NOT 'condensates are conscious.' Quasi-agency ≠ consciousness. Pattern behaves AS IF it wants to replicate, but has no awareness. NOT 'all condensates are selfish.' Some are mutualistic (science, cooperation). 'Selfish' = replication-optimized, not morally selfish.
